Terms of delivery
The customer is granted the right to use a photograph/photographs for once. This right of use shall not be sold or transferred to a third party.
The Sámi Museum, the collections and the photographer shall always be credited when a photograph is used, unless otherwise agreed. The customer is responsible for respecting the regulations on copyright and the protection of privacy when a photograph is used.
Photographs must not be edited or modified without a special permit. If a photograph is modified, this must be mentioned in connection with its publication. Changes that improve the quality of the photograph – such as sharpening, cropping or dust and scratch removal removal – are not considered as forbidden methods of editing or modifying.
Photographs shall be returned immediately after they have been used. Digital recordings (CDs, etc.) shall also be returned. When returning the photographs, the customer must state correctly how each photograph has been used, so that proper publication fees can be charged. The fee for a repeat use of a photograph will be 50% lower. To make sure that the return of a photograph is registered, customers should enclose their contact information with it.
Delivery has taken place when the photographs have been mailed, given directly or delivered in some other way to the customer. If the photograph has been damaged so that it is unusable or it is lost, the museum will charge the customer with the manufacturing costs (printing, duplication, etc.) of the photograph, the price of a lost CD, etc. + € 25. When borrowing materials, original materials are not to be taken out of the museum.
The author is obliged to give, without payment, a copy of the publication or recording that has benefited from the collections of the Sámi Museum to the library or the archives of the museum.
The fee that the Sámi Museum charges for the use of photographs appears on the price-list of the museum. The costs of package and postage are included in the fee. If it is necessary to have the copy made elsewhere, the Sámi Museum’s costs of dispatch and postage are charged from the customer. The terms of payment are 14 days net. The interest on overdue payments is 16%. The museum does not charge value added tax to the customer or an additional fee for invoicing. The museum may also require an advance payment from the customer before the manufacturing or delivery of the ordered photograph. Orders from abroad are always invoiced in advance.
The time of delivery for 1-20 photographs is 14 working days and, for orders that exceed 20 photographs, as agreed. If the customer wants the photographs quicker than this, the list price will be raised by 50% on account of urgency. Prints and duplications that require sending the material elsewhere may have a longer time of delivery.
Usually, the artifacts of the Museum Collections are not lent outside the building. The charge for photographing an item in the museum is € 50 / item. If a collection item is taken outside the museum, for example to a studio to be photographed or to an exhibition, the museum may assign it an escort and require a proper insurance for the whole time it is away from the museum. In addition, a fee of € 50 / item is charged for the loan.
