This exhibition, produced by the Hunting Museum of Finland, focuses on the red fox. It traces the history and shows the present of this red-furred animal, comprehensively introducing the cunning "Reynard the Fox” to the audience. How did the valuable furbearing animal of the wilderness turn into a pest and an urban fox that thrives close to population centers?
The exhibition consists mainly of photographs by the nature photographer Juha Mälkönen. Whereas the other parts of the exhibition primarily focus on the fox as a historically important game, the photographs of Mälkönen tell us that the fox is much more than the bearer of an impressive fur and the nightmare of the gamekeeper.
This exhibition is only in finnish.
