Jan 14, 2011 11:37 AM

The program of the Inari - Aanaar stand, 3 F 25, at the travel fair Matka 2011 in Helsinki includes handicraft demonstrations and yoiking. In addition, visitors to the stand can participate in a lottery, in which the winner will get accommodation for two persons in Inari with activities included.

On all the four days of the fair (Jan. 20 – Jan. 23), the audience will be provided with crafting demonstrations and yoiking at the Inari - Aaanaar stand. For example, the young Skolt Sámi Tinja Semenoff will show how beadwork bags and bracelets are made. Kikka Laakso from the art studio Kammigalleria, again, will make jewelry from reindeer horn and bone. The visitors to the stand, too, can participate in making these handicrafts and claim the finished object for themselves for a modest fee. From Friday to Sunday, there will also be yoiking at the stand.

Furthermore, visitors can participate in a lottery. The main prize will be a package of accommodation and activities for two persons at Hotel Korpikartano and at Reindeer Farm Petri Mattus. Other prizes of the lottery include cabin accommodations, a cruise on Lake Inari, a design bag, and an annual pass to Siida which also entitles to a lunch at Restaurant Sarrit at every visit to Siida.

The exhibitors of the Inari - Aanaar stand will provide visitors with excellent special offers at the fair.
