The information services of the Sámi Museum
What is the wooden dish náhppi used for? Is there a photograph of your grandmother in the collections of the Sámi Museum? The Information Services of the Sámi Museum will help you whether you are trying to learn about a culture that you are not familiar with or looking for information about your ancestors.
The Sámi Museum will reply to searches that concern its collections or the Sámi either directly or through the Lapponica Northern Information Service that you will find on the Internet. Questions that are easy to answer without a wider search for literature or artifacts will be answered for free.
If the task requires a more comprehensive search or is part of a commercial project, the charge will depend on how extensive the task is. An agreement will be made individually with each customer on a reasonable compensation for the information search.
